The director of the Consortium World Wide Web (W3C), Tim Berners-Lee, prize Prince of Asturias of Scientific and Technical Investigation, will participate in the congress international Basics Web 2007 that he will take place in Palacio of Congresses of Gijón from the 3 to October 5 that this year surrenders homage to CSS in its tenth anniversary.
Berners-Lee will intervene for the first time in this congress that one comes taking place from the year 2005 in Asturias, organized by the Foundation CTIC and W3C Spain, with the support of the Strategy and-Asturias for the Development of the Society of the Information. Their participation in Basics Web 2007 will be carried out through an interview-colloquy for videoconference in direct in the one that will be spoken of the challenges of Internet from face to the future.
Berners-Lee was the first in combining the characteristics of the hypertext systems with the infrastructure and standards of Internet. The first test of the Web that gave good result was carried out December 25 1990. At the present time, the Web allows people from all over the world to consent easily to the information.
From their setting in march, this congress has as main objective to offer the assistants the possibility to know the opinions of international experts in what refers to vanguard of design web, from a technical and social perspective.
Among other, the presence is foreseen in Gijón of Jeffrey Veen, current Director of Experience of User of Google and Member Founder of Adaptive Path, first consultancy of user's of the world experience. Veen is author of reference books as 'The Art & Science of Web Design' and of 'HotWired Style.'
Experts will also attend in design Web with standards, as the Technical current Director of Technorati, Tantek Çelik, a software architect, designer and engineer of international fame that it participated in the development and implementation of CSS in W3C.
10 years with CSS
In this third edition, Basics Web 2007 surrender their particular homage to the Leaves of Style in Cascade (CSS) with reason of the tenth anniversary of their creation. For it, the congress will have the participation of Bert Bos, co-author of CSS and director of the Activity of Style of W3C.
Also, the organization summoned a competition to design CSS of the place web for the edition of this year with the motto 'Basics Web takes your style.' The objective of this competition was to promote the use of the Leaves of Style in Cascade among the developers web.
Finally, of the mean hundred of proposals that they showed up to the competition three they were selected and the winner was the one titled 'Nouvelle web', carried out by Adriana Pertierra. The projects finalists were "Cantabrian", of Mónica Antón Suárez, and 'Css City', of Juan of the River and José Seoane.
